Bitten By Twilight

Now a days, you can hardly turn your head before you see a Twilight book in the hands of a teenage girl or hear someone gushing about Edward and Bella. You can’t go on Facebook without seeing vampire bumper stickers and groups everywhere. You turn on the TV and you see celebrities promoting the Twilight movie on the VMA’s. You can’t even go out to buy a magazine without seeing Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. So what do you do? Well, you know how the saying goes, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!
So, what’s all the hype about? “The story is about a girl who falls in love with a vampire, but, it’s much better than it sounds!” said junior Katie Davis.
“It has a crazy wild storyline. Drama is addicting and this is drama that's not offensive to anyone. This is just something for our own imaginations a complete escape from anything real” said junior Amanda Johnson.
Twilight isn’t just another “vampire book”; it’s also a Romeo and Juliette styled love story. The writing style is interesting and many people can relate to some of the high school social problems that take place in Twilight.
Not only is it a great book, but the Twilight movie is coming out on November 21. Although the novel got major fan response, some fans have mixed feelings about what’s happening with their beloved books.
“Some books are meant to stay books...period. This one has to much inner thought to really bring to life. It’ll be interesting to see how they plan on pulling it off without getting assassinated by devoted fan girls” said junior Michelle Smith.
Many Twilight fans are upset about the book becoming a movie because it ruins the images in their head. What they don’t know is that the movie makes Twilight more accessible for people who are too busy to read a 500 page book, and would rather have it condensed into a 2 hour movie. The Twilight craze is not only sweeping the nation, but the world. Everyone has been bitten by the magic that is Stephanie Meyer’s novel and upcoming movie, Twilight.

Gone in a Blink

Growing up in the nineties, you went through so much. Saying “psyche!” or “not!” after a sentence was completely normal, you’d do the Macarena with your friends, and you wore the converse before they became “old school.” There’s some stuff we left behind (thankfully) like mom pants and shoulder pads, and there’s stuff that followed us through. While most of us left N’sync behind, we brought along some bands into the new millennium, only to have them fall apart soon after. One of those bands produced one of the greatest hits in the nineties with “na na na na na na na na na na” making up most of the song, in All the Small Things by Blink 182.
Blink 182 was formed in 1992, just 13 short years before its breakup (call me superstitious, but I think the 13 is a sign). Blink 182 was made up of Tom Delonge, Mark Hoppus and Scott Raynor (who was later replaced by Travis Barker). Tom and Mark were best friends- they were basically the masterminds behind Blink. They were yin and yang, peanut butter and jelly, goofy bassist and cool guitarist. They complimented each others features, just by talking or making each other laugh. They grew closer and closer (along with Travis, of course) as Blink 182 became more and more famous. They released countless hits, only to make even greater music in the later CDs.
But sometime in the early 2000’s, Blink 182 hit a sour note. Mark and Tom stopped hanging out, stopped making each other laugh, stopped clicking, as if you had taken two perfect pieces of a puzzle and put them in a blender. They just stopped fitting together. The environment where they worked became tense and strained instead of fun and entertaining like it once had been. They grew farther and farther apart, and the Blink trio took a huge break before coming out with their last album Blink 182.
Then, while they were on tour with Music for Relief, helping to aid victims of the 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake, Tom’s agent called Mark and Travis and cancelled the last show. The day after, Blink 182 announced an “indefinite hiatus” on Feb. 22, 2005 and Blink 182 came to a crashing end. What happened to The Mark, Tom and Travis Show? Tom wanted to spend more time with his family, while Mark and Travis, although they loved their families very much, also wanted to keep touring and writing music with Blink 182. So Tom got his way- his agent called a very devastated Mark and Travis to tell them that Tom would no longer be in the band. You would think that, like relationships, breaking up would either be done in person, or by the actual person himself, but Tom did not have either the decency or courage to face Mark and Travis, and hid behind his agent.
There WAS little to no chance that the band would ever get back together, especially since they had moved on to other(not bigger or better) things. Also, they hadnt spoken since. Recently though, Travis was in a car accident. This made the 3 long lost brothers realize that "life is too short" to hold grudges. They talked! For the first time in 3 years! You could almost hear Blink 182 fans everywhere rejoicing. Mark wrote, in his blog, that they didnt know about Blink 182 getting back together. The fact that he mentioned it, gives me hope though.

Wow its been a while

Ok, so its been a while and I've got a LOT to say. Hmmmmm......lets go baaackkk.....(back to the disaster, my hearts beating faster...)(ok, sorry, I've got music in my heart pulsing rythm and song through my veins).





Okay-I've been in Atlanta for a bit, I'm not anymore, but I was and the coke museam was AWSOME! There was all this coke that you got to try and fyi-Italy tastes disgusting! But the rest was okay, except for a couple I cant remember. Then we went to the aquarium which was full of brocolli and fish. By brocolli, I mean hot guys. Its code-youll learn to love it. Or at least tolarate it. But yea, I fell in love every 3 minutes.



ANYWAYS, we came back and yesterday I hung out with Katie (who people say looks exactly like she could be my twin)(theyre insane) and we went to Starbucks (yum!) and went to this sports bar and shopped, which was pretty much awsome. Then we went to go watch Drillbit Taylor which I had heard NOTHING about, but there wasnt anything else but the Dr. Seuss movie, and my friend said DT looked good. And it WAS!!!!!! I loove Owen Wilson but my favorite thing EVER has got to be Josh Peck being one of the evil bullies in the movie.

Ok, I know this is really really insanely late, but I was gonna make it into a web show then I got sick and time passed and blah blah blah, so here it is.

Smosh- I reeaaally wanted to try and make a video for that boxmans girlfriend, but I got lazy and busy, if that makes any sense-things usually make sense in my head but sound like gibberish when I actually speak them aloud.-but if its worth anything I planned it out (may b I can win a piece of the stunt double box for that) except then I went online and saw this video of these guys doing it perfectly(the dance-get your mind out of the gutter!), like exactly how I wanted 2 make it, ok not exactly but enough that it made me feel sad and pathetic. and I’m totally not sad and pathetic, I just really really wanted that smosh boxman costume- I’m like their biggest fan EVER. I’m usually the first out of all my friends to watch their vids, and its not like I sit at my computer, eyes red and glazed, coffee in one hand, clicking refresh refresh refresh on youtube or anything. *giggle and twitch* but anyways, I just watched the winners and I really love how Ian And Anthony made the video in a restaurant, and I think JEHendo should’ve won some kind of prize, his video was great, and basically the only entry I actually saw, so I cant really judge, but whatever.

Miley and Mandy show- so apparently, because you’re famous you can make a HORRIBLE web show and still have people love you. I couldn’t even watch a minute of it, okay? my head started to throb, and I actually never get headaches, at all. but no, thanks a lot miley fucking cyrus, congratulations-you have made me ears AND eyes bleed simultaneously! they think theyre so funny, don’t they? I mean, I know the description basically says “this show is about nothing” but what it SHOULDVE said is “hi, we like to scream “WERE THE MILEY AND MANDY SHOW” over and over again insanely loud, even thought the camera is inches away, oh and we love to dance like were on crack” wtf?

American Idol- Okay, when I watched the last show, I almost cried. I really didn’t care about all the other people that got voted off, well not much anyways, but why did they have to kick off Danny??? I was so upset! he was my absolute favorite! He was so cool and unique, as Paula said and emo and he signed and everything, I mean watching him get voted off was TMTH! He was so sweet aside from that thing about some Christmas…..something….and he had excellent style and he was so cute. I personally think Simon is homophobic or something, even though I love Simon. And then, did you see, well ok, there’s no possible way you COULDN’T HAVE seen Ramiele having a fit because her and Danny had grown so close and were best friends and she was just bawling and bawling and it made everything sadder but, anyways, with Danny being off the show, AI lessened its appeal to me and now I’m only watching because of David Cook and Michael Johns and in hopes that Jason realizes he’s not Jamaican, black or an elf and does something to his dreads. Does anyone else think it’s funny that there’s 3 Davids? hmm, just me? Ok…

America’s Next Top Model- ok, so I am sooo glad that Allison got kicked off, I mean, she was a BITCH!!!! she was so stuck up and annoying! she thought she was so hot and awesome and better than everyone else just because she had experience with modeling and she even said so. I love how she kept saying it.”im so much better than everyone else” And then, when they were doing that photo shoot, she was trying to be all sexy and practicing her poses before and everything and all the camera ppl were just yelling at her and telling her to move or change something and that she looked too posed, and when she went back to everyone else and they asked how she had done, she was like “I did great!” yea right. And then, later Tyra told her how good her hair looked and she was just like “I know.” I know??? excuse me? you don’t get away with withholding a thank you from tyra banks. You do NOT say “I know” when Tyra Banks compliments your hair! Then, when she was in the last 2 she was like shaking, and Tyra called her out on the thank you, she was like :you don’t know 2 words- thank you” and Allison was like shaking, and then when Tyra told her she was out she burst out crying. Sigh, im just glad shes off, I hated her with a passion.


Panic At The Disco- so its only 7 more days till their new cd, pretty odd, and I’m so psyched, in case you didn’t get that from me counting down the days. (hahaha, 7 days, ooh, creeeepy!) The music video for Nine in the Afternoon came out a while ago and I loved it! Nine in the Afternoon is so different than the songs on their last album, but they still have the same style. I love how in the video, its just so random, theres a red room and Brendon keeps going to the camera on the floor and jumping around on the bed and running with a vacuum cleaner and a fire hydrant and then this mob of girls run after them- who can blame them? and then it goes to the yellow room with Jon and then it changes to the blue room with Spencer it changes to the green room with Ryan and then to the marching thing that was so Beetles, and its just so random, I mean, I love how there’s girls with mustaches everywhere and people with like, elephant and horse and panda heads. But my favorite part has got to be when Brendon is lying on the floor of the room and gets a clock and thows it over his shoulder and makes this HLARIOUS face!Ok, now am I the only one who thinks that Spencer needs to shave? seriously! he looks so much cuter without the beard!

ok, well yea this is about it, I've got to go and contemplate the day I've had-getting bitchslapped with chocolatemilk covered potholders, TOODLES!

Lemme just start this off by saying: I love our school. So full of 'thats what she said' jokes and many different variations of saying "your mom." Anyways, I'm going to Audreys showw tonight, I hope. My brother has to give me permission to go. Yup, you read right, my BROTHER. lemme add this- my YOUNGER BROTHER. why, you ask? because tomorrows his birthday which means if I want to have a social life this weekend, I've got to be nice to him. Thats not gonna be fun, AT ALL. So back to other things- I'm thinking of doing something like a web show- I mean, I already have a semi-one with one of my friends, Brooke, but I wanted 2 do a thing like What the Buck. hes sooooooo funny, I looove him! So I wanted to do something like that-i'd call it Chicks and Dicks (just because I'm already uncreative enough) and now that I'm thinking this I wonder if we can post videos on this blog..... Well, ok, enough of that-my brother reeeaaaaally needs to get home, like ASAP!!!! Today was disgusting and rainy-but TGIF!

First Post!!! (Pretend like you care, ok?)

Ok, so hi. I just made this blog thing because one of my best friends did (and I'd totally jump off a bridge if she did, in case youre wondering). I should probably say some stuff about myself now- ok, my name is Samaire, but my nickname is Sam (I'm defenitely a girl though) (if not I've been buying the wrong kind of underwear) (I love Drake and Josh). Ok, so thats not really my name, but it is on here, because I think its a really pretty name (have you seen Just My Luck? Well, the blonde girl, the one that supposedly wrote that song for Mcfly? Samaire is her name)and theres no way in hell I'm putting my real name here. Ok, more stuff about me....umm.....I should probably be doing journalism homework right now but today, I was waaaay too busy eating mexican food, running through the toys section of Target, getting kicked out of some bitch's property(that was really annyoing!)and making a video with one of my friends. Ok, sorry, I'll get back on track now. Age: Def not saying- I am in high school though, and you'll probably figure it out if you really wanted to, with all the sexual innuendo and my hate towards (most) freshman. I live in a magical world where its nine in the afternoon, I hate chemistry with the burning passion of a thousand sons (looove Fairly Odd Parents), and I love learning French (if youre anything like my friends, youll roll your eyes and think of something like "we surrender" to say right now), oh, and I'm trilinguial by the way, if thats spelled right..... spanish, english and french (like I just said). Theres three things in life I could never live without (exluding friends)(I'd say family, too-but lets face it, who am I kidding?) those things are movies-I ADOOORE chick flicks, I know theyre stupid and shallow but I love them, next is music- I love rock, or alternative, hate rap and country (even though there are a couple songs I have to admit to liking) and lastly-Blink 182. I love them soooo much!!! It breaks my heart that theyre broken up, they had so much left to do, and the worse part is Tom and Mark dont even talk to each other anymore and...ok, well if I start now I'll never shut up (as you probably noticed already, I talk waaaaay too much). So, theres some stuff about me- not everything, theres waaay too much to write, but this is a quick summary. So, yea I guess I'll just post another bloggy....thingy.....later-toodles! OMG, I TOTALLY FORGOT!!!! Theres 23 days until the nes Panic at the Disco CD!!!!23!!!!! (i know, thats soooo freaky!)(not the fact that I'm counting down-no, thats perfectly normal.....)
